Description:	Multimedia flashcard program We are looking for a web-based program similar to “FlashMyBrain,” or “Memory Lifter” that would allow our customers to view and interact with multimedia flash cards on our website. Because these flash cards are for beginning readers, they need to have special components. So far, we have not been able to find a program that already exists that features all of these components. If you know of one, could you let us know? If not, is it possible for you to create one for us that would include all of the features we are looking for? Administration and Technical Aspects: 1.The system needs to be web-based and should integrate with our existing Joomla website. The system will connect with a MySQL database. 2.An enrollment procedure will need to be created which will allow new users (teachers) to sign-up for access to the cards created. This procedure should process their request, send them to Paypal for payment, and return them to our website where the system will provide them with a unique user-ID that will be valid for 365 days. 3.There should be a user management area for the administrator which will allow us to delete users, suspend activity, or make manual enrollments. 4.System administrator should be able to login to administration area where cards will be created. Interface must be user-friendly. 5.In the administration/management area, the administrator needs to be able to easily create cards that feature: a variety of font sizes, styles, background/text colors and image choices, available on a card by card basis and also able to be set and then used as a "master" when consistency is desired throughout a flashcard stack. Interface MUST be user-friendly. 6.Multiple audio features, videos, flash animation, and graphics should be able to be easily added to individual cards by administrator in card management section. 7.Audio features should be user friendly and easily edited (one or two click editing/recording feature.) 8.All individual cards and/or decks of cards must have the ability to be added to, edited, and deleted easily from admin area. 9.Individual sounds should have the ability to be recorded and heard (as well as full words and/or sentences.) A “hover feature” will need to be utilized for the individual sounds to be heard, where a student can “hover” over a letter with his/her mouse and hear sound of letter. (Recordings will be done by administrator.) 10.Each “theme” created (font, color scheme, size, position, etc) should be able to be saved by the administrator with the ability to be selected as the default theme for new card creation. 11.The cards should be able to be categorized according to subject matter and saved as individual sets. 12.Multiple testing modes should be created for user to choose from: presentation mode (study mode), multiple choice, true/false, fill in the blank, matching, image recognition (audio says word, student finds and/or writes answer), question to answer or answer to question 13.System will be exclusively for our use on several websites and cannot be sold as-is to any other party. We reserve the right to install the system on websites we designate. 14.System should run on all major browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari) without any additional software for user to install. We prefer Flash technology. 15.We want the option to include our logo on areas of the software as it is presented on the site. Individual Card Features: 1.Each card should be easily created by administrator using a variety of fonts, sizes, colors (for background and/or text), graphics, audio, video, and flash animation. 2.Each card should be able to have its own unique template or be able to use a “master” template when uniformity is desired. 3.Each card should have the ability to have multiple sound recordings. 4.Each card should have the ability to store “individual sounds.” (Students should be able to “hover” over an unknown letter in a word to hear sound.) 5.When students hear a word or sound pronounced, the word or sound should identify itself (light up, pop out, etc.) as it is being pronounced. 6.Each word card will have an area to click on that produces an audio sound pronouncing the whole word. (Sound will be recorded by the administrator.) 7.The system should allow for more than words on cards -- sentences, graphics, whatever needs to be learned. 8.The system should utilize the Leitner learning model. User Features: Teachers should be able to easily create/input a “class” of students using names and student ID numbers. Each class will be limited to 45 students. (Administrator should have ability to add more students if administrator sees fit.) Students (most likely kindergarten to second grade) should be able to easily login to the system once the teacher has completed adding their information. Cards presented to students should be based on previous performance. A review mode should be offered where students and/or teachers can pick cards to be studied, regardless of skills previously mastered. The students will be able to mix and shuffle decks of cards to have a continuously new random sequence of cards within each group studied. Students will be able to set and/or change testing modes as desired: multiple-choice, true/false, fill in the blank sentences, listening comprehension, image recognition (audio says word, student finds answer), match image to word, change order of question and answer so that question is presented first and if the option is selected, the answer is presented first. Students will have the option for a “Presentation Only” mode that simply presents the words and the accompanying audio, allowing the students to go through the entire deck of words without having to flip any cards or be assessed in any way. Students should be able to leave program when finished. Their results and current place should be saved upon their exit. Cards and/or decks of cards should be able to be hand selected and easily printed by teachers (and other users) in a clean, organized format that retains the look of a flashcard. Performance data should be easily accessible and have the ability to be collected by teacher as the students progress through the system. Teachers should be able to easily print various reports that document student performance. Optional add-on: (Please price separately) Memory-like game following word sets where kids can practice reading words while being rewarded with a game. (Should be easily programmable so administrator can input new words and create new memory games as desired.) Various learning game options would be terrific, depending on budget needed to create them.
